🎓 ADMISSION DETAILS
- AISSEE-2027 is conducted for admission to Class VI and Class IX.
- Admissions are for the academic year 2027-28.
- Admission is available in Sainik Schools and approved New Sainik Schools.
- Admission is based on AISSEE performance, merit list, medical fitness and verification of original documents.
- Eligible candidates must participate in the applicable e-counselling process.
- Only one application should be submitted by a candidate for the same admission level.
🎂 AGE ELIGIBILITY

Both dates are inclusive. Boys and girls are eligible to apply,
subject to the applicable school admission rules.
For approved New Sainik Schools, candidates should also check
the concerned school's admission policy.
🏫 APPROVED NEW SAINIK SCHOOLS
40% Route (Category A):
- At least 40% of seats are filled through the All-India Merit List of AISSEE-2027.
- Eligible candidates from different schools can apply.
60% Route (Category B):
- Up to 60% of seats may be filled by eligible students already studying in the same approved New Sainik School.
- Admission is based on the applicable school-wise merit list.
The domicile and category requirements for approved New
Sainik Schools are subject to the rules of the respective school.
📂 DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION
- Recent passport-size photograph of the candidate (JPG, 10 KB–200 KB).
- Candidate's signature (JPG, 10 KB–50 KB).
- Left-hand thumb impression (JPG, 10 KB–50 KB). Right-hand thumb impression may be used if the left thumb is unavailable.
- Date of Birth Certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Domicile Certificate.
- Caste / Community / Category Certificate, if applicable.
- Service Certificate for serving Defence personnel, if applicable.
- PPO for Ex-Servicemen, if applicable.
- Principal's certificate for students currently studying in approved New Sainik Schools, where applicable.
Certificates: PDF format, file size 50 KB to 300 KB.
⚠️ IMPORTANT OBC-NCL INFORMATION
OBC-NCL means Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer.
Candidates must belong to the Central List of OBC-NCL
published by the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC).
Candidates belonging only to a State/UT OBC list, but not included in the Central OBC-NCL list, must select the Unreserved (UR) category instead of OBC-NCL.

📋 HOW TO APPLY ONLINE
STEP 1 – ONLINE REGISTRATION
Register using a unique Email ID and Mobile Number.
STEP 2 – FILL APPLICATION FORM
Enter the candidate's details and upload the required photograph,
signature, thumb impression and certificates.
Note the system-generated Application Number.
STEP 3 – PAYMENT
Pay the examination fee using Debit Card, Credit Card,
Net Banking or UPI through the available payment gateway.
IMPORTANT
Download, save and print the Confirmation Page after successful
payment. The application is incomplete if the payment step
is not completed.
🚫 ITEMS NOT ALLOWED IN EXAMINATION HALL
- Mobile phones and electronic gadgets.
- Calculators and electronic watches with calculator facilities.
- Books, printed or written material and notes.
- Geometry boxes, pencil boxes and stationery not permitted.
- Bags, purses, caps and goggles.
- Food items and other prohibited articles.
- Metallic items and other prohibited devices.
